Volunteer at
School During the School Day...
The PES Administration is looking for parent volunteers to
assist during the school day in the following capacities:
Student
Leadership Committee Store - Starting November 2nd The PES Student Leadership Committee
(Student Council) will be running a school store the first Friday of
each month from 10:30am-1:00pm. Adult volunteers are being sought
to assist the children with this activity. If you are interested,
please contact Mrs. Masiello at 635-8875.
Reading Skills Volunteer
Pelham
Elementary School is currently seeking volunteers to work with small
groups of 3rd and 4th grade students to reinforce basic reading skills
and enhance reading fluency. Training is provided. Tutoring
will take place in the classroom under the supervision of a certified
educator. For more information or to express your interest, please

Personal Greeter
The Personal Greeter will be situated in the main hallway
just inside the front door to greet guests as they arrive. This
person will make sure that all guests sign in and out and receive a
visitor pass. Coverage is needed from 9am to 3pm. This can
be a flexible position, so even if you are available only one day, a few
days, or part of a day, please contact the office at 635-8875 to express
your interest!
Student Dining Area Helpers Helpers are needed
during the lunch hours to monitor students in the student dining area.
Volunteers will be assisting students with questions, handing out
restroom passes, and simply providing additional adult supervision
during lunchtime. Lunches at PES run from 11am-1:30pm. If
you are available during that time any days of the week, please contact
the office at 635-8875.
Assist Differentiation Coach PES and PMS are
supporting a differentiation program this year for children in grades 5
and 6 who have demonstrated high level abilities in certain subject
areas. We have opportunities for parents to assist the
Differentiation Coach, who is managing this program, during the school
day. For more details on this program and to express your interest
in volunteering, please contact the office at 635-8875.
Classroom Support For more
information on how you can help directly within your child's classroom,
please contact his/her classroom teacher directly.
Volunteer With the PTA!
The Pelham Elementary School PTA is
busy throughout the year sponsoring fun and exciting activities for
students and parents of PES! We are always in need of volunteers
to help us deliver these programs. If you are interested in
participating in any of these activities, or have new ideas you would
like to share, please
contact us!
Holiday Fun Fair Volunteers
Many volunteers are needed to help
with this event. Some opportunities include working at the
refreshment table, raffle baskets, cake walk, book fair, and holiday
store. If you are interested in helping out, please complete the
volunteer form and send it to school with your child!
Reflections Program Coordinator "Reflections" is an arts program sponsored by the National PTA. This
program allows more than 700,000 children and youth to express themselves
through musical composition, photography, visual arts, and literature. The
PTA is currently seeking a volunteer to coordinate this program for the
2007-2008 school year. Without a volunteer chairperson, the PTA
will be unable to offer this opportunity to the children of PES this
year.
