Fundraising Opportunities
Our primary fundraiser is held in the fall each year.
Once again for the 2008 2009 school year, we will be holding our
Fun Fitness Fundraiser. This program gives children the opportunity to choose a physical activity
and earn pledged money for the time spent doing that activity during our
fundraiser. We're confident this approach will promote the role
of exercise in a healthy, active lifestyle! The proceeds from
the fun fitness program make up the
PTA's budget for the entire school year.
Our goal for money raised this year is to upgrade
classroom area electronics in addition to our usual funding of class
field trips, school assemblies, and family activities In
addition to this program, there are several other opportunities for you to
help your school raise money - in many cases all that is
required is taking a few moments to clip a label. For
example, Tyson Foods will donate .24 cents for each Tyson label we
collect. With 900 students, that can add up fast! During
the '07-'08 school year, PES raised nearly $2000 through the Box Tops for
Education program. The
links at the side of this page lead to more information on these
programs. If
we all participate, even in a small way, we can earn cash and equipment
for our school. These funds are spent in a way which directly
affects students. For all
collection based programs, simply send the labels, cartridges or phones to
school with your child. Drop boxes are located in the main
hallway across from the office, or your child can simply give them to his/her teacher. That's
it! If
